FY 2024/2025 STATS

Children in foster care received essentials such as beds, clothes, shoes, baby gear, and toys.

In 2014, More Than a Bed started out by serving 5 local families.

While MTaB is located in Pima county, we are open to serve all counties in Arizona.

JANUARY 2026 HIGHLIGHTS

Our Mission

To provide essential items and support for children in foster care, kinship and adoptive families, and youth in congregate care settings, because every child deserves to feel valued.

Our Purpose

We exist to provide resources to the families we serve; easing their financial burden, creating stability during challenging transitions, and helping every child to feel seen and valued.

Our Vision

To create a community where every child feels valued, every young person feels empowered to shape their future, and every foster, kinship, and adoptive family feels supported along their journey.

Support your local children in foster care and their foster parents.

Who We Serve

Foster parents are licensed caregivers with the state. They are licensed through a foster care agency and take extensive classes to care for the children who are placed in their care.

Kinship parents can be family members, close family friends, or others who have an existing relationship to the children who are now in their care.

Families who have gone through the legal process to adopt a child from the state.

More Than a Bed serves youth living in a group home setting.

Teens that are provided services through the state to assist youth in foster care to develop life skills while transitioning to adulthood.

YAP: Arizona Young Adult Program

TILP: Transitional Independent Living Program

Removal of a child from their existing home is typically due to extreme circumstances, such as abuse and/or neglect.

Just get placed with a child?

Congratulations! We would love to help you on your  journey.
